Turtle
Turtle happens when a pass or a sweep goes wrong and someone turns to their knees. It denies points and buys time, but it exposes the back and the neck. Top players attack with back takes, clock chokes, crucifixes and rolls; bottom players fight to recover guard, stand up or roll the opponent over.

Turtle Top
The opponent is turtled in front of you. Control the hips, get your hooks and take the back.
